From basic driving tips for beginners to advanced racing tips for the more experienced driver, our Karting instructors are on hand. Sessions are available on Saturday and Sunday only between 8 am and 9 am or 5 pm. Mid-week sessions are available until 7 pm.
At £55 for 45 minutes, our one-to-one tuition lessons are perfect value and gives your child a better start to becoming a more competent driver.
For those looking for a longer-term set of goals and a continued tuition process then you can book several sessions at discounted pricing + receive a free helmet when you book a bundle of 10 sessions at once! Lessons will take place on the Family circuit and on the Premier Circuit. All sessions can be taken during the year but don't need to be pre-booked, with limited weekend availability but usually run between 8 am and 9 am (subject to availability).
Once you have completed your one-to-one lessons you will be required to take part in a basic kart driving assessment. Upon passing, you will receive a 12-month Midland Karting driving licence/membership. A fee of £25 may apply to the test, which covers the cost of kart hire, instructor and licence for the session.

Hi, my name is Dan Willison. I've been a karting instructor at Midland Karting for several years, and I specialise in teaching students of all levels, including children with learning difficulties.
I've done karting at almost all levels including competitive and was part of the Royal Naval Plymouth Command racing team from 2003-2008 in the R6 championships.
I've received excellent feedback and had students go on to race for themselves. If you want a well-disciplined instructor that delivers results then ask for me during your booking.
I am available after 5pm, Monday to Friday upon request. And sometimes on the weekend!
Timings are approximate and are provided as a guide only. All information is correct at time of publication.
Minimum age and height restrictions must be adhered to at all times. We reserve the right to make amendments to events and formats for any reason at any time and without notice. We reserve the right to change and amend bookings to ensure compliance with restrictions.
Deposits
Customers are welcome to pay a deposit to secure a booking. Deposits are 50% per booking.
New: Have you heard about our flexi-booking protection? Re-schedule your booking up to 48 hours in advance for only £2.50 per-person.
Waivers
All drivers are required to sign a waiver prior to racing. This can be completed online before your arrival via the 'Book Activity' link, reducing your signing-on time and getting you on track even quicker.
Balaclavas
All drivers are required to wear a balaclava. Balaclavas are available to purchase for £3 per balaclava on-site and when booking online. If supplying your own balaclava, please ensure that you bring a suitable balaclava for each person in your party.
Vouchers from external sources
If you are making a booking using a voucher from an external voucher provider, a £3 per person surcharge will be applied for weekend and school holiday bookings.
Late arrivals will forfeit race time. Please ensure that you arrive prior to your scheduled slot; we recommend arriving 30 mins before your scheduled slot.
Please note that abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated. Directing abuse towards staff will result in either a warning or a termination of your session without a refund.
