Competition Rules

Prize: 1 x 20-minute karting session

1. The promoter of this competition is Midland Karting Limited whose registered office is 6 Lichfield Street, Burton On Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 3RD and which operates from Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, Lichfield WS13 8NF.

2. This competition is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, promoted by or administered by “Facebook” or any of its subsidiary companies and/or platforms, including Instagram.

3. The prize in this competition is one 20-minute karting session (for one person) at Midland Karting for each driver that “beats the marshal” as described below. No cash alternative is provided.

4. Midland Karting will not pay for transport or additional costs associated with events taking place at the venue.

5. This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland aged 7 years and over (individuals aged 7-16 years will require parental permission to participate). Proof of eligibility may be requested.

6. Entry to the competition will be via a quoted phrase during your session.

7. To enter, simply approach a marshal of your choice at the start of your practice session and quote the phrase “it doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning is winning”.

8. Once the marshal accepts the challenge, the competition is live.

9. You will have the entirety of your booked practice session to set your fastest lap.

10. At the end of your session, the challenged marshal will have just 5 laps to beat your fastest time.

11. If the marshal beats the time, you will be placed on the “Wall of Shame” under the caption “I challenged the marshal and lost!”. If the marshal cannot beat your time, you will be placed on the “Wall of Fame” and be given a free 20-minute karting session for one person on a future date.

12. All competitors agree to be photographed and named on social media.

13. A marshal can refuse the challenge at any point prior to your session starting.

14. Race director's decisions are final.

15. You must have a pre-booked session to participate in the competition.

16. The challenge in operation from 27th June 2022 and can be closed at any time.

Prize: Midland Karting gift voucher worth £40

1. The promoter of this competition is Midland Karting Limited whose registered office is 6 Lichfield Street, Burton On Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 3RD and which operates from Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, Lichfield WS13 8NF.

2. This competition is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, promoted by or administered by “Facebook” or any of its subsidiary companies and/or platforms, including Instagram.

3. The prize in this competition is one gift voucher to be used at Midland Karting with a face value of £40 (GBP). No cash alternative is provided.

4. The prize may be used to purchase track time or goods from the Midland Karting shop. If the full face value of the voucher is not spent, no change will be given. The voucher may be used towards purchases of a higher value.

5. Midland Karting will not pay for transport or additional costs associated with events taking place at the venue.

6. This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland aged 18 years and over. Proof of eligibility may be requested.

7. Entry to the competition will be via Facebook and Instagram.

8. There is no purchase necessary to enter this competition. Midland Karting will not request credit or debit card information as part of competition entry.

9. To enter the competition, simply predict the winning driver of the British F1 Grand Prix 2021 (held on Sunday 18th July 2021) on either the Facebook post or Instagram post. Likes and Shares of post(s) or Midland Karting page(s) are not required and will not be counted as an entry – although we would, of course, love if you do like our page and/or posts.

10. The deadline for entry is 20:00 (London time) on Thursday 15th July 2021. Entries after this time will not be counted.

11. The single winner of the competition will be chosen at random from all of those who correctly predict the winning driver.

12. For the benefit of the doubt, the name of the winning driver will be taken from the official formula1.com website at 20:00 (London time) on Sunday 18th July 2021. If this driver is later disqualified or re-classified, the prize draw will not be redrawn.

13. Midland Karting’s decision is final and we reserve the right to close or change the promotion without recourse or notice.

14. The winner agrees to publicity and have their name and image published on the Midland Karting website and/or social media channels (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google).

15. Competition is not open to management, staff, employees or agents of Midland Karting Limited.

16. The winner of the competition will be announced on Monday 19th July 2021.
