Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled adventure with Midland Karting's revamped After School Academy! Designed for young racers aged 8-16 years old, this is the perfect opportunity for kids to experience the thrill of karting on our purpose-built circuits.
Our state-of-the-art outdoor track is now open on Wednesdays, exclusively for our After School Academy participants. This allows your young speedster to hit the track at a time that suits them, starting from 4:30pm onwards. The After School Academy offers the ultimate learning experience for young racers, helping them improve their skills, learn new techniques, and ignite their passion for karting!
Our experienced team of instructors will be there to guide your young racers every step of the way, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable time on the track. Children aged 8-11 years old (inclusive) will race on our Family Circuit, while those aged 12-16 years will take on the thrilling challenges of our Premier Circuit.
The After School Academy is priced at an unbeatable £25 per person for a full 60-minute session. Our lessons are packed with invaluable tips, tricks, and techniques to help your young racer improve their lap times and become a karting pro! During the session, your youngster will enjoy 45 minutes of turbocharged time on the track, followed by 15 minutes of one-to-one guidance where they can ask questions and receive insider tips from our seasoned instructors.

Prices are correct at time of publication. We reserve the right to cancel, amend or update a session or event where an incorrect amount has been charged. Please refer to our Booking Terms prior to booking.
Timings are approximate and are provided as a guide only. All information is correct at time of publication.
Minimum age and height restrictions must be adhered to at all times. We reserve the right to make amendments to events and formats for any reason at any time and without notice. We reserve the right to change and amend bookings to ensure compliance with restrictions.
Deposits
Customers are required to pay a deposit to secure a booking. Deposits are 50% per booking.
New: Have you heard about our flexi-booking protection? Re-schedule your booking up to 48 hours in advance for only £2.50 per-person. No refunds are given, credit will be added to your profile.
Waivers
All drivers are required to sign a waiver prior to racing. This can be completed online before your arrival via the 'Book Activity' link, reducing your signing-on time and getting you on track even quicker.
Balaclavas and suitable clothing
All drivers are required to wear a balaclava. Balaclavas are available to purchase for £3 per balaclava on-site and when booking online. If supplying your own balaclava, please ensure that you bring a suitable balaclava for each person in your party. Drivers must wear suitable footwear, open toe sandals or sliders i.e. crocs are not acceptable.
Vouchers from external sources
If you are making a booking using a voucher from an external voucher provider, a £3 per person surcharge will be applied for weekend and school holiday bookings. Vouchers may be rescheduled once only, and must be used within three months of redemption.
Video recordings
If recording go karting footage (camcorder, smartphone, Go Pro, etc.), you must get written permission from the parents/guardians of every driver under 18 years old before sharing the footage online.
Late arrivals will forfeit race time. Please ensure that you arrive prior to your scheduled slot; we recommend arriving 30 mins before your scheduled slot.
Please note that abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated. Directing abuse towards staff will result in either a warning or a termination of your session without a refund.
